Dennis has played on stages from San Francisco to New Orleans to New York City, with his own band, and backing up and sharing the stage with such legendary musicians such as B.B. King, Pinetop Perkins, Snooky Pryor, Little Sammy Davis, Jimmy Dawkins, Honeyboy Edwards, Homesick James, John Mayall, and many contemporary masters like Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers, Little Charlie & The Nightcats, Steve Guyger, Rusty Zinn, and Mark Hummel. 

Dennis is also known for his expertise on amplified harmonica technique and his knowledge of the techniques of the best harp players of the past, and not only uses these skills on the bandstand, but has also lectured and performed for many national harmonica conventions.
