Harmonica Masterclass Home Study Course

Level 1 - Beginner

Developed by the worlds most published author of blues harmonica instruction material and master instructor at the Harmonica Masterclass Workshops, David Barrett introduces the Harmonica Masterclass Home Study Course.  The Harmonica Masterclass Home Study Course is a comprehensive series of self-paced lessons for the beginning harmonica player. Books, CDs, videos, extensive workbook, and monthly audiotape correspondence are combined to make this a dynamic educational experience.  Through technique study, songs, soloing examples, and one-on-one correspondence instruction, this course will establish a solid foundation for constructing solos and expand a player’s choices for musical expression.

How it All Works
After registering for this program, all of the lesson material will be sent to you via UPS.  Upon receiving the package start working through the material with the assistance of the provided workbook.  After completing each lesson (approximately one month) you will be asked to play specific examples onto tape (any home boom box with a built-in microphone will work), recording up to fifteen minutes of material.  Mail your tape to us and an instructor will listen to your assignment and critique your playing with suggestions on how to improve.  The instructor will spend one half hour listening to you and making comments on a new tape recording.  This tape is then sent back to you to start the process of preparing for completion of the next lesson.
